De Classic Stingray is een eerbetoon aan de originele Music Man ontwerpen van het midden tot het einde van de jaren 1970, met toegevoegde moderne verfijningen. Een snaar door body bridge, mute kit, kleine profiel nikkel frets en een gebogen 7,5 "radius neck zijn belangrijke specificaties die teruggaan naar de vroege dagen van de productie van Music Man. Een moderne zes bolt neckbevestiging en een gemakkelijk toegankelijk truss rod verstelwiel zorgen voor solide constructie zonder gedoe, de klassieke toon blijft trouw aan het origineel met een ash body, 2-bands EQ en een standaard Music Man Alnico pickup.
