De Cutlass basgitaar is de nieuwste editie van de Modern Classic lijn met instrumenten. Deze nieuw ontworpen passieve 4-snarige bas heeft een rijke vintage toon, omringd door gestroomlijnde, moderne appointments voor ultiem comfort en speelbaarheid. De vele geweldige functies van de Cutlass omvatten een old-school split coil humbucking ontwerp voor die grote ronde end tone, een comfortabele "C" vormige nek carve en een lichte elzenhouten body dat als een handschoen past. De bovenste brug is gemaakt van gehard staal en wordt aangevuld door een nieuw ontworpen oversized headstock met de vertrouwde 3 + 1 tuner opstelling. Al met al is de Cutlass een slanke, moderne basgitaar met vintage functies die trouw blijven aan de erfenis van de Music Man.
