JP6 is het originele model van John Petrucci van Music Man. De basswood body heeft een duurzame afwerking in hoogglans met stijlvolle lijnen en een ergonomische afgeronde armcontour. De drijvende tremolo met vloeiende actie maakt het mogelijk de toonhoogte te verhogen en te verlagen met een onberispelijke afstemstabiliteit en piezo pickups. JP inlegsels en een palissander toets zijn standaard op de ultradunne, snelle en doorleefde esdoorn hals met roestvrijstalen frets..
